Our Mission

We’re more than just housing providers. We create pathways to stability, empowerment, and hope. By repurposing underutilised spaces, like redundant church buildings and land, we are transforming communities and offering opportunities for a fresh start.

Our Vision

We’re committed to building 5,000 homes in our £1 billion pipeline, creating spaces where people can thrive. From affordable housing to onsite training in construction and related industries, we provide the tools for long-term success and meaningful careers.

Who We Are

Benedict Community Housing is driven by a team of passionate leaders:

  • Lee Simpson: A serving military officer with decades of service, bringing invaluable insight into the struggles veterans face during their transition to civilian life.
  • Andrew Gray: A Church of England Synod member and founder of the Church’s Homeless Task Force, offering unmatched expertise in community engagement and support.
  • Ummar Hanif: A housing developer, former senior government advisor, and police officer with over 20 years of experience in urban development and sustainable solutions.

Our Partnership with the Church of England

By working closely with the Church of England, land owners and local authorities, we are transforming underutilised buildings and church properties into thriving housing and support hubs. Together, we’re not just addressing homelessness but creating opportunities for those we serve to lead fulfilling lives.

Let’s Build a Better Future Together

Benedict Community Housing is more than a housing organisation—it’s a movement to create lasting change. Join us as we take bold steps to combat homelessness, empower individuals, and rebuild communities across the UK.
